How does Fruit Up® taste?

Fruit Up® has no flavor itself but is characterized by a natural sweet sensation in the final product. The sweetening intensity of Fruit Up®
is close to that from invert sugar syrup.

Sensory tests show consumer acceptance of Fruit Up® is equal to sweetness levels provided by other sweeteners, such as sucrose
and fructose.

Fruit Up® versus Saccharose
in a Near Water “White Peach“

Sample: 67 test persons, sequential-unary sample presentation, samples have been adapted to same sweetening strengths

The consumer test was conducted as a monadic preference test. A monadic preference test is considered the perfect test arrangement. Evaluation based on a scale of 1 (dislike extremely) to 9 (like extremely) is a standard method that was employed for the Fruit Up® test. An evaluation greater than 5 is an indication for high consumer acceptance and is generally considered the market-readiness threshold for a product. Fruit Up® scored a 5.31 in the consumer test.

The product with Fruit Up® and the product with sucrose each had its own statistically relevant size test group. Each consumer evaluated the product using individual knowledge and experience, but did not compare the samples to other products.
